Richland County lies in Wisconsin's “Driftless Area” – the southwestern corner of the state that was untouched by the last great glacier 12000 years ago.
This left deep valleys and high hills, covered with towering hardwoods. The valleys are rich in soil (thus the name) and bordered by the Wisconsin
River valley to the south. Quaint villages dot the area, with many rustic roads to explore. Streams provide top trout fishing!
